First United Methodist Church of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania
Dating back to the first service in 1878, the Bridgeville United Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of the Bridgeville, Pennsylvania community. Since 1909, we have been worshipping and ministering to the community
at our church, which is located on Station Street.
Since then, God's blessings have been wonderful as we have sought to faithfully share His Word throughout the community and world. We encourage you to seek the Lord and strongly consider attending one of our services. Our church family wants to help you grow in spirit and faith together. May God bless you!
Matthew 16:18-19 New International Version (NIV)
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Our Church in the News
Heidi Overmier Prayer Garden
The fountain outside the entrance to our church is dedicated in loving memory of former church member Heidi Overmier, who was tragically killed in the Bridgeville LA Fitness shooting, August 4, 2009. In addition to being a wonderful mother to her son Ian, Heidi was an active member in our church who lived her faith and brought a smile to anyone who knew her. May her body rest in peace and her soul watch over anyone who graces the halls of our church.
